At the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job! We are seeking several team leaders for the detention facility in Mölndal. This is a temporary assignment lasting until 271102. With us, you will work with current societal issues that are affected by what happens in our world around us. Issues that matter and engage. We offer a dynamic environment where continuous improvements and interaction with people are in focus. At a detention unit, people who have received a rejection or deportation decision and who need to be available for enforcement are placed in detention. A person may also be taken into custody if the right to reside in the country or identity needs to be investigated. The detention facility is a closed unit and operations run 24/7. The work is based on applicable legislation where legal certainty, dignity, and security are important. What does a team leader do? As a team leader, you represent the employer and support managers in the operational leadership work at the facility. This means you allocate resources, coordinate, and follow up on the team's daily work and report regularly to facility managers. Through a coaching approach, you guide team members. You lead the team toward results and goal achievement and ensure that standards are followed. You drive efforts to continuously improve methods and working practices. As a team leader, you contribute to ensuring the facility has good conditions in the form of a development-oriented work environment, the right competence, reasonable workload, clear goals, and good planning. We are seeking team leaders who work three shifts (day, evening, weekend, and night) as well as day and evening hours. As a team leader, you have overall responsibility and particularly significant responsibility during evenings, nights, and weekends. You lead and coach detention officers in the operations and maintain strong focus on the detainees and their stay. Who are you? We are looking for someone who leads and motivates others to efficiently reach common goals. You coordinate groups, create engagement and participation. You have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and resolve conflicts constructively. Further, you see the bigger picture and consider the best interests of the entire operation and are a good employer representative in your actions and decisions. You quickly and judiciously weigh complex information and different types of considerations and show sound judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your own approach, and drive your processes forward. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You maintain a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things. In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands for sound judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness. You have Academic education of at least 120 credits with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus, or other education combined with relevant current experience for the role Current experience working as a team leader Experience working in public sector operations Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English Good knowledge of the Office package It is advantageous if you have Current experience working as a team leader within detention operations Leadership training Experience with coaching-based leadership Experience leading and developing groups and/or individuals Current experience with administrative law case handling Knowledge of conversation and investigation methodology Experience leading in change Information Employment type: 5 personal temporary assignments lasting until 271102 Working hours: Three shifts (day, evening, weekend, and night) or day and evening hours Location: Mölndal Start date: By agreement Employment benefits: Read about our employment benefits here.
