Are you ready for the future? We are – and now we're looking for you!
Within the Work and Welfare Administration in Kristianstad, an exciting transformation journey is underway. Our vision is clear: An administration – ready for the future!
We are developing our organization to meet future needs and create even better conditions for our citizens. Since April 2026, we have been working in a new organization – with a focus on modern, sustainable, and lawful welfare.
Today, approximately 480 dedicated employees work with us, making a difference for people at different stages of life every day. Together, we create security, participation, and opportunities.
In the Support and Investigation unit for adults, we are 14 employees who work closely with colleagues in other units to achieve the goal of having an established and self-sufficient population free from violence and harmful use or addiction. The work is client-focused and varied.
Now we are looking for you who, in the role of team leader, wants to contribute with commitment, development, and knowledge in our continued journey forward!
Your role with us
As a team leader, you work with day-to-day operational management through guidance, follow-up, and support to the team's 5 social workers in authority work according to the Social Services Act and the Compulsory Care of Drug Abusers Act. A large part of your work involves collaboration with other roles/professionals in various positions within and outside the administration.
You have daily collaboration with your team leader colleague in the unit and, if needed, support each other in your respective assignments. Together with the unit manager, you are responsible for achieving the unit's goals, developing and quality-assuring methods and work practices. In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of the transformation taking place within social services and contribute to shaping the municipality's future authority work within the framework of harmful use and addiction.
Who do we seek?
You who are applying have a degree in social work. We want you to have experience with authority work within the framework of social services and experience working with adults within the framework of harmful use and addiction, and/or work with Housing First. If you have experience in leadership roles within public administration, we see that as meriting.
The position requires that you have good communication and collaboration skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing. Experience with the business system Lifecare is an advantage. You also need a B-class driver's license to be able to get around our municipality if needed.
In your role, you work in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. You find it easy to focus on the customer's needs and achieve good customer satisfaction. You have the ability to follow instructions, procedures, legal requirements, and policy, and to comply with set schedules. As a leader, we would like to see that you are structured and have the ability to set goals and achieve results in both the short and long term based on applicable governing documents. Through follow-up and evaluation, continuous development of the business takes place, which creates meaning in the work. The ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy and respect is a natural part of the work. You are unpretentious and notice and reward others' contributions.
