We are looking for you who want to be part of shaping how we best can organize ourselves to meet needs under the new Social Services Act. Are you a positive, change-oriented visionary? Welcome with your application!
About the Workplace
In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable the city's residents to become self-sufficient in life so they can take an active part in society. We have undergone an exciting organizational change with a focus on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, services and support, and housing.
The entire Social Services Department is currently implementing a comprehensive initiative on Signs of Safety and creating a shared approach throughout the organization with a clear focus on transparency, high participation, and creating sustainable solutions together with the individual and their network.
The Reception and Preventive Support unit will be led by two unit managers who each lead their two areas. You will operatively lead a team focusing on adults and the department's crime team. You will have support from a team leader colleague in the unit who primarily will manage the social duty team, as well as two other team leaders within the unit who work with a focus on children and domestic violence.
Work Tasks
You will lead a team of approximately nine employees. As a team leader, you will be part of a network with the authority's other 17 team leaders, a group that together has very broad expertise and where members are helpful and caring towards each other.
We work with our residents' best interests in focus, using ourselves as a tool. For us, collaboration, both internally and externally, is important in order to give our residents the best possible treatment and understanding of the Social Services Department's mission.
Your role as team leader is to lead, distribute, and coordinate the team's work, as well as be responsible for efficiency, productivity, and quality. The work includes ensuring that laws, guidelines, and ethical principles are followed to provide support and services to the city's residents. The team leader acts as an operational and present leader for employees, which means supporting and coaching the team in daily work, acting as an expert resource, and having knowledge of the breadth of the team's target group. We are now looking for you with at least four years of experience in authority work within social services at a reception unit.
What We Offer
As an employee with us, you will get a management leader close to operations and engaged colleagues who can support and introduce you to the work and the organization, as well as access to lawyers and other support functions. Benefits that you can take advantage of include flexible working hours, 3000 SEK per year in wellness allowance, vacation exchange, and shortened working hours in the summer. The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious.
Qualifications
The position requires:
- A degree in Social Work
- At least four years of experience in authority work within social services at a reception unit
- Experience in interpreting and practicing relevant legislation
- Experience in practicing evidence-based methods
Meritorious:
- Experience working as a leader
- Courses in leadership, for example developmental leadership, coaching leadership, or similar
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability
