Do you love food and are you ready for a career where people are at the center? At City Gross, everything we do is about helping and inspiring our customers to live better lives. Our heart beats a little extra for fresh products and we believe in people. We believe we become better when we have different backgrounds and experiences. Whether you're showcasing freshly harvested vegetables, cutting the perfect piece of meat, making sure shelves are always well-stocked, or creating campaigns that meet our customers' needs, everyone here has one purpose: to create an amazing customer experience. About the Job Position type: Permanent employment, full-time. Probationary period applies. Start date: October 1, 2026 or by agreement. Working hours: Early mornings, daytime, late evenings, and weekends are a natural part of the work. We welcome applicants of all ages, but due to the Work Environment Act, you must be at least 18 years old to work in our bakery department. You Perfect the Customer Experience You have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our customers' visits. You have an important mission to make the customer experience smooth and pleasant. This can mean a friendly smile, an unexpected gesture, or a helpful attitude, so customers find what they need in the store. You ensure customers leave satisfied—and hopefully with an extra item in their basket and a good feeling! What Will You Do? Each day brings new meetings and challenges. Some of your main responsibilities include: Ensure daily operations run smoothly by leading and delegating work. Be a role model in customer interactions and inspire colleagues so our customers leave the store feeling they've received world-class service. Work with the Sales Manager to plan, place orders, follow up, and develop work in the department. Coordinate resources and ensure skills are used efficiently to achieve set goals. Work with baking and producing everything from sourdough bread to princess cakes. Contribute to offering our customers a fresh and inviting bakery department. Collaborate with colleagues throughout the store—we're a team and help where needed! You report to the Sales Manager for Fresh Products, who has personnel responsibility for the department. Who Are You? You're a natural problem-solver who thrives with pace and energy. A friendly greeting and willingness to inspire and develop others is second nature to you. Do you have a strong interest in baking and selling products? Great! Do you have previous leadership experience? Even better! We believe you: Have a high school education and speak and write Swedish fluently. Since our customers speak more languages than that, it's wonderful if you do too. Have a couple of years of prior experience working in the bakery/pastry field. Previous experience in leadership, store economics, and sales is a merit. Have prior training in bakery or pastry. Love meeting customers and believe service should be genuine and engaged. What Do You Get? Secure conditions—We have collective agreements with Handels and Unionen. Affordable food basket—You get a staff discount on everything from fancy weekend dinners to quick weekday solutions. Parental leave with extra security—We offer enhanced parental benefits according to our collective agreement so you can enjoy your new family member a little extra. A healthier and more energized body and mind—We care about your health and offer wellness allowance so you can stay active in the way that suits you best. Real career opportunities—We have room to grow! Many of our store managers started where you are now. Sounds like something for you? Submit your application—we look forward to meeting you!
