Your own teaching takes place in Swedish, but among colleagues we speak English. IES Kungsbacka is now seeking a qualified full-time teacher in German and Textiles starting in Fall 2026. The position includes mentorship, which means you have overall responsibility for students' knowledge development. You maintain close dialogue with students' guardians and conduct developmental meetings. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in students' lifelong learning. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a secure, structured, developmental, and stimulating learning environment for students. You work as part of a team with teaching colleagues, support educators, and after-school staff. Our mission is to together lead and support students in their social and academic development. In the team, educators help each other with planning, teaching, and students' school day. You hold a Swedish teaching degree with a specialization in Modern Languages - German, and Swedish teaching certification. You have clear pedagogical insight and the ability to apply the curriculum's goals in your work. You demonstrate clear leadership and strong classroom presence. You are flexible, organized, and well-prepared. You are an engaged and collaborative educator who challenges and stimulates students toward development. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is essential for you. You communicate directly and humbly with guardians and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You should be positive and collaborative and prepared to be part of an international team. In your role, you teach in Swedish/German, but among colleagues we speak English/Swedish. This means you need to be fluent in both languages, both spoken and written.
