Special Education Teacher in Mathematics, Grades 3–9 Internationale Engelska Skolan is seeking a dedicated special education teacher in mathematics for grades 3–9. About the Position As a special education teacher in mathematics, you will work closely with students, teachers, and student support teams to identify needs, plan interventions, and follow up on student development. You will primarily work with students in grades 4–9 who need extra support in mathematics, both individually and in small groups. You will, among other things: - Plan and implement targeted support interventions in mathematics. - Work with students individually and in small groups. - Conduct assessments and analyze student learning development. - Adapt instruction based on students' individual needs. - Collaborate with mathematics teachers, homeroom teachers, and student support teams. - Contribute to educational assessments and intervention plans. - Follow up on and document student development and the effectiveness of interventions. - Provide specialized pedagogical expertise and coaching to teaching staff. - Work preventatively and proactively to strengthen student mathematical development. We are Looking for Someone Who - Is a certified mathematics teacher - Has experience teaching students with special education needs - Is organized, solution-focused, and skilled at building relationships - Works well in collaboration and communicates effectively with students, guardians, and colleagues - Can analyze student needs and translate them into concrete pedagogical strategies - Has high expectations for all students and a strong belief in their ability to develop Experience with assessment, evaluation, and various support interventions in mathematics is desirable.
