Internationella Engelska Skolan i Kista is a dynamic and growing F-9 school with an international atmosphere. We are a bilingual school that follows the Swedish curriculum. We are now seeking an engaged and certified teacher for primary grades who is passionate about laying the foundation for our students' learning journey. This is a permanent position with a start date in August 2026 (beginning with a six-month probationary period). In your role as a teacher in grades 1–3 at IES Kista, you have a particularly important mission: to be part of our focus on language development and the national reading-writing-mathematics guarantee. We place great emphasis on the Swedish language as the foundation for all learning. Your main responsibilities: - Plan and deliver instruction with high engagement and a clear focus on foundational skills in Swedish and mathematics. - Create a safe and stimulating learning environment where study discipline is a given. - Monitor and document student development. - Collaborate with colleagues, student support services, and parents to promote the student's overall school experience. We are looking for someone who is a confident leader in the classroom. You understand the importance of structure and clear expectations, while meeting each student with warmth and respect. You have a special ability to make the Swedish language come alive and be engaging in an international setting. As a school, our focus is not only on academics, but also on the student's personal development through our 'school house system' and our core values. We are looking for someone who: - Is a certified teacher with eligibility to teach grades 1–3 in all subjects. - Has a strong focus on early reading and writing instruction as well as foundational mathematics. - Values the Swedish language and sees its central role in our bilingual school. - Is a team player who thrives with collaborative learning and international cooperation. - Is well-versed in Lgr22 and works data-driven to achieve learning objectives. - Has good digital competence (we work in Google Workspace and SchoolSoft).
