We in home care have several colleagues moving on to new assignments and we are therefore recruiting a bit extra during this period. The assignments may also vary and include work in elderly care at the nursing home Vikbacka, the dementia care facility Stefansgården, and the short-term care home Granhöjden. Job Duties: Storumans kommun is seeking staff for our elderly care services in Tärnaby, 130 kilometers from Storuman and 20 kilometers from Hemavan. Work is scheduled during the day (approximately 7:00-14:15) mixed with evenings (approximately 14:00-21:30), on weekdays and weekends according to schedule. Heavy lifting occurs in the work and we provide training on how to do this as ergonomically as possible. Care work includes administering medication (after completing delegation training for this), helping elderly individuals shower, assisting with certain exercise routines, changing diapers, helping with shopping, cleaning, and providing company (social interaction). Within the operations, we also offer various training sessions throughout the year to strengthen knowledge about nutrition, dementia, client interaction, and more. Qualifications Education and previous experience with similar work in elderly care and LSS is meriting. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. You should be positive, patient, solution-oriented, and have a commitment to the assignment as well as good collaboration skills and be able to take your own initiatives. Speaking and understanding Swedish is important to us. We have a language requirement equivalent to passing grades in Swedish in the ninth grade. In case of any unclear points, we will conduct a written language test. Before a contract is signed, you must have submitted an extract from the criminal record, which you order from the Police Authority.
