About Us
The position includes work in the departments for oral surgery, orofacial medicine, bite physiology, and dental radiological diagnostics.
Due to increased staffing of dentists, we now need to strengthen our team with additional dental hygienists.
At Oral Surgery, we primarily perform dentoalveolar and implant surgery as well as trauma treatment. We also collaborate with Oral Surgery in Jönköping for anomaly surgery. We diagnose and treat pain conditions.
At Orofacial Medicine, we care for patients with complex oral conditions linked to systemic diseases or functional impairments.
We investigate and treat mucosal changes and provide dental care under general anesthesia.
A large part of patient care occurs in collaboration with other Health and Medical Services.
Dental Radiological Diagnostics collaborates with the hospital's radiology department.
About the Job
This position as a dental hygienist in specialist dental care means you will be primarily placed at the Oral Surgery/Orofacial Medicine department in Karlskrona, but work in Karlshamn may also occur. Your tasks will include clinical assistance, planning and administration, as well as sterilization work. Reception work may occur, such as scheduling appointments, phone contact, patient contact, and payment processing, etc. This will be a varied role that will provide broad competence.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a trained dental hygienist with an interest in oral surgery, orofacial medicine, and our other specialties. You should be responsible, empathetic, have initiative, and be flexible. You want to develop within your profession.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Region Blekinge registers all permanent employees.
The position is located in Karlskrona, but travel to other parts of the county may occur, primarily to Karlshamn.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
Applicants who are being considered for employment must provide an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
