Your Workplace
At the clinic in Arvika, ten dentists, 19 dental hygienists, and 13 dental therapists work together. There is also a department for dental technicians staffed from Karlstad. We are a large and cheerful group working in a 7-7 shift model split across two shifts. We have broad expertise with specialization in surgery, endodontics, and nitrous oxide.
Our patients are of all ages: 10,100 adults, 7,000 children and young people (total across all units).

We have a flat organization in Värmland where we work in teams and close to our specialists. As a new dental hygienist, you will have a mentor throughout your entire first year so you can enter your professional role in a secure way. With us, you'll get varied and stimulating work that mainly consists of assistance, sterilization, and reception work. If interested, there are also opportunities for your own areas of responsibility, such as prophylaxis with your own patients and other delegated tasks such as scanning, injection, and X-rays.

The responsibilities vary within both adult and pediatric dentistry. It is important to us that our patients feel satisfied after a visit, which is why we place great emphasis on service and customer care.
If you're early in your career, you'll receive good support from your new colleagues. We also give you a good start in your new career because you will go through Folktandvården's comprehensive onboarding program that combines theory with practical work.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone with a dental hygienist qualification and strong commitment to patient service. You are self-directed and take responsibility for your tasks by planning and driving your work forward. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to a good work environment. You are accommodating and driven by helping others.

Folktandvården Värmland is part of Region Värmland and operates 17 general dentistry clinics distributed across 24 different units—from Sysslebäck in the north to Säffle in the southwest. We also have clinics in all specialist areas that treat patients by referral. We are a forward-thinking organization with quality and competence in focus.
