We are now seeking dental hygienists who want to work both in external activities, with training and clinical practice within general dentistry. The Public Health Function of Folktandvården Gävleborg conducts external health-promoting and disease-prevention activities in cooperation with various societal functions and target groups. We work with, among others, expectant parents, parents with young children, preschool children, school students, newly arrived residents, elderly people, and adults with disabilities. The Public Health Function operates throughout the region and has close collaboration with Folktandvården's clinics. Our mission is to work toward better and more equitable dental health. 2 position(s). TASKS We are looking for you as a dental hygienist who is genuinely interested in working toward equitable dental care for all. In the Public Health Function, you will work with dental care for elderly people, adults with disabilities, and chronically ill adults. You will also work in external activities primarily directed toward children and young people, for example within schools and child health centers. The position includes administrative tasks and conducting training sessions both internally and externally, as well as collaborating with various actors in different types of projects with the goal of promoting dental health. The position means you are employed by the Public Health Function and your position is located at the main office in Gävle. In addition to working within the Public Health Function, you will also work clinically with general dentistry for an agreed portion of time at a clinic within Gävleborg. The position within the Public Health Function includes travel throughout the region. QUALIFICATIONS You have a degree as a dental hygienist and at least two years of clinical experience in the profession. As a person, you are responsible and solution-focused, with a structured and thorough work approach. You are service-minded and flexible, which makes it easy for you to collaborate with colleagues and meet clients. The position involves significant independent responsibility and requires you to be flexible and adaptable. To thrive in the role, you collaborate easily with other actors, colleagues, and clients. You have a holistic view of people and a desire to share knowledge with others, both in personal conversations and with larger groups. The position requires you to have a category B driver's license because the work involves travel. We see that you have good computer and technical skills, and it is important that you are experienced with the Office suite. One position is permanent full-time, but trial employment may be applied.
