Main Duties and Responsibilities At Folktandvården Åby, you will meet patients of all ages with many different care needs. As a dentist with us, you have an important role in ensuring patients feel well-received and secure during their visits. You will use your full range of expertise while the position also demands creativity, empathy, and service-mindedness. The position includes, among other things: Working both independently and together with your colleagues in the treatment room Handling both simple examinations and more advanced treatments, and to some extent emergency dental care Being the team's specialist in oral diagnostics We work in a team where the dentist leads the dental work. Through task rotation and delegated responsibilities, we create close collaboration between dentists, dental hygienists, and dental nurses, where each profession contributes its expertise to provide patients with high-quality care and good accessibility. We are a VFU clinic and accept students from the dental program at University of Gothenburg. Student supervision may also become part of the position. We currently have a total of 18 employees at our clinic with 8 treatment rooms. We are also currently recruiting a dental nurse. Competence Requirements and Profile Licensed dentist with at least a few years of experience Interest in both pediatric dentistry and adult dentistry Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing Ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient and sensible manner Ability to project a calm and stable demeanor even when there is a lot to do Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a receptive manner Contribute to the development of the operation by actively participating in the clinic's improvement efforts If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually designed mentorship program during your first year. The mentorship program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of professional development. About the Recruitment Process The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period closes, the clinic manager will review the applicants and invite selected candidates to interviews at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 35-37. If you as an applicant have education/degree from another EU/EES country than Sweden and lack references, it may be relevant to complete supplementary theoretical and clinical work samples as part of the recruitment process.
