Within Folktandvården Värmland there is always good collaboration between general dental clinics and specialists. We are 20 employees and have 6500 registered patients. Forshaga, with 11,500 inhabitants, is located approximately two miles north of Karlstad. Good bus connections are available and it is only a 15-minute drive to the airport. Klarälven winds through the town and makes Forshaga famous for its fishing, especially salmon and trout fishing. Klarälvsbanan, a nine-mile long asphalt former railway, passes through the community where you can cycle, walk, and inline skate on a car-free and scenic path running between Karlstad and Hagfors. There is a rich community life, an 18-hole golf course, hiking trails, good opportunities for swimming and skiing. Your Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include all tasks within the dental hygienist's professional scope. This means that as a dental hygienist you will treat your own patients in child and adult dental care with examinations, disease-treatment measures, and preventive dental care. You will work in a team with a dentist and dental assistant. Team dentistry includes, for example, joint examinations. There are good opportunities for development and expanded responsibilities. We collaborate with the municipality's schools and elderly care through external activities. Your Knowledge and Competencies You are a licensed dental hygienist and have good knowledge of the Swedish language. For us it is important that you have the ability to work both independently and with others. You are accommodating in your approach and adapt easily to changed circumstances.
