Public Dental Care in Norrbotten has the primary mission of offering the county's children and adults safe, modern, and high-quality dental care and ensuring specialist dental care for the entire population of the county. Achieving better oral health is the foundation of all dental care, and within Public Dental Care we work with pediatric and adolescent dental care, adult dental care, outreach oral health assessments, hospital dental care, and specialist dental care. The Dental Care Competence Center (TKC) is Norrbotten County's organization for specialist dental care. The majority of our operations are concentrated at shared facilities in central Luleå, Norra Hamn. All odontological specialties are represented here. Both children and adults with complicated and special care needs are treated at TKC. Staff at TKC also participate in training future dental care personnel and focus on patient-centered research. We are looking for We are seeking you as a licensed dental hygienist with an interest primarily in periodontology. As a person, you work well with others, can work independently, are quality-conscious, and can adapt to new challenges and tasks. Here is what you will work with The periodontology and orofacial medicine departments have 4 specialist dentists, 2 dental hygienists, and 5 dental nurses. The departments receive patients by referral for examination and treatment. An important part of the operation is to serve as a consultant to general dental care within public dental care and private care providers. The departments work closely with other specialties within the Dental Care Competence Center and the oral and maxillofacial surgery unit at Sunderby Hospital. We also collaborate with health and medical care. In the periodontology department, patients with various forms of periodontitis and peri-implantitis are treated. OFM receives adult patients who need special support due to functional limitations and various medical conditions. In addition to clinical operations, we provide continuing education for dental care personnel. We also accept observers from all professional categories.
