Systems Developer for Development Support Team, positions in Stockholm or Gothenburg

The IT Department's primary mission is to provide IT services to the entire Swedish Police Authority and is an important part of crime prevention and crime-fighting efforts. IT is one of the most important tools for increasing police efficiency and improving the quality of police work. We currently have over 1,400 employees. The Role: The Development Support group consists of systems developers and technical specialists driven by offering the right and efficient technology for solutions, so that our development teams get the best conditions to create societal value. Today we work with troubleshooting, problem-solving, development, and automation of both purchased and in-house developed products. The role is positioned in a group that manages the CI/CD platform and therefore has significant influence on how systems development and IT security take place across the entire IT department. This means we place great emphasis on documentation and communication to ensure stable and sustainable solutions. We also see a need to grow within application logging. Growing within application logging in this case means we are creating a new smaller team to focus specifically on application logging. A functioning solution already exists today but is growing rapidly because the need is great. The platform today is highly appreciated, so there are many positive knowledge exchanges and honest feedback on what is desired, which means you get the opportunity to make many connections and influence something significant in its startup. Some examples of your main responsibilities will be: •Maintain and develop the existing application logging platform •Update and distribute tools to a large number of development teams •Participate in architecture and improvement work •Drive initiatives for increased efficiency, security, and quality •Investigate and evaluate new technologies and tools We are looking for you who: •Have several years of relevant experience in systems development •Have several years of experience with CI/CD, version control, and automation •Have experience with the ELK stack, or similar logging services •Have experience with Linux as the employer deems relevant •Have good technical understanding in, among other things, systems development, application logging, integrations, IT security, and system environments •Are structured and communicative •Want to contribute to societal value Other Requirements Since the work involves handling sensitive information and security-classified tasks, we have the following requirements: •Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written •Swedish citizenship The position is located in either Stockholm or Gothenburg, and we welcome applicants for both cities.
