The IT development units in Luleå and Kalix are in an exciting development phase where the Swedish Social Insurance Agency continues to lead in methods, tools, and work approaches. Here, several delivery areas collaborate to develop and manage IT solutions critical to society, including labor market support, pensions, and external information exchange and data management. At our offices in Luleå and Kalix, just over 100 employees work, with the majority being systems developers. You will work with complex systems in close collaboration with experienced colleagues in agile teams, where modern systems development is combined with stable and well-thought-out work practices. Here, technical responsibility, quality, security, and automation are central to daily work, and as a developer you have the opportunity to influence solutions used by large parts of society every day. Development, Java, DevOps, Automation, and Infrastructure We are looking for someone with Java experience who thrives in a work environment where development, operations, and infrastructure collaborate. You have an interest in the entire chain from code and testing to deployment, monitoring, and operations. As a systems developer with us, you become an important part of a team-based environment where collaboration, shared responsibility, and technical quality are central. You work closely with other developers, architects, and business-facing roles to solve complex problems and build robust solutions that endure over time. In this role, you participate in the entire DevOps cycle. This means you do not stop at implementation, but are involved from analysis and design through automated build and delivery workflows, container-based platforms, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our applications and technical environments. You have the ability to take a broader perspective and understand the interplay between applications, infrastructure, and operations. Here you work with solutions where availability, security, performance, automation, and management are key. We value a technically curious approach where automation, Infrastructure as Code, container technology, and modern DevOps principles are used to create sustainable and future-proof solutions. The position involves handling classified information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have strong security awareness. It is a job for someone who wants to take responsibility and make a difference. We are looking for someone who has a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be proven equivalent has experience in systems development in Java or equivalent programming language has experience with or interest in working closely with operations, infrastructure, and technical platforms takes initiative independently and takes responsibility for achieving good results collaborates effectively with others to reach common goals has a systematic and thorough work approach can understand and analyze complex issues has good communication skills, both verbal and written has good knowledge of Swedish, both verbal and written. It is an advantage if you have experience with or good understanding of DevOps work practices and tools experience with or knowledge of container technology experience with or knowledge of GitOps experience with CI/CD and automated build and delivery workflows experience with or knowledge of Infrastructure as Code experience with monitoring, log management, or troubleshooting in production environments.
