Who are we?
The Water and Sewage Department is responsible for delivering drinking water and managing wastewater for a large part of the municipality's residents. We are a team of 26 employees working with water, sewage, biogas and waste. Our operations are critical to society, which means that supply security and continuity are high priorities. Our systems and processes must function even in crisis situations, and therefore we actively work with both continuity management and information security.
The Water and Sewage Department is heavily engaged in digitalization. We develop our own systems and place great emphasis on monitoring our processes.
Digitalization is a central part of our development. We build and develop digital systems around the water and sewage map and monitoring. Control and regulation systems are external systems that we adapt to our operations. Curiosity and a strong drive to develop digital solutions permeates the entire department.
The position involves becoming part of a team of four people responsible for the department's IT systems, continuity management and information security. The work includes, among other things:
Development, programming and management of our own water and sewage map
Maintenance and further development of control and regulation systems
Work with network monitoring via LoRaWAN, where you will have a key role in developing and structuring solutions
Work with information security
Work with continuity management

We offer you a key role within the department, where you have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the municipality's water and sewage systems and take responsibility for parts of the work within water and sewage digitalization, information security and continuity management.
The position is varied and developmental, with extensive cooperation both within the department and with other parts of the organization, such as Parks/Streets, Urban Planning and the IT Department. The role also includes contact with external contractors and the development and management of systems that support these collaborations. Creativity is highly valued and the position offers the opportunity to program and develop new ways of working within the department and with external processes.

What are we looking for in you?
We are looking for a committed and driven systems developer with a holistic perspective and the ability to plan long-term. You have a genuine interest in developing new systems as well as maintaining, further developing and adapting existing solutions based on operational needs.
You have an engineering degree or equivalent work experience. You can handle databases and program in several different programming languages. Class B driving license is mandatory.
You should have good experience working in Debian Linux from the text terminal. You can read and write technical documentation in both Swedish and English. You should be able to perform simple troubleshooting/programming of PLCs and SCADA.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
