Your responsibilities
As a System Technician with the role of Print Services Specialist, you will have a central role in the administration and development of our print environment. Your main responsibilities include:
Managing operations, technical administration, and further development of our print environments.
Performing daily system administration in applications such as PaperCut MF, HP Web Jetadmin, and HP Security Manager, as well as managing firmware updates, configurations, and driver management.
Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems in system environments, including creating print queues and in-depth troubleshooting of network-related print issues.
Working proactively with monitoring, stability, and improvement of systems and platforms.
Handling more complex incidents and technical issues, such as escalated cases within 2nd and 3rd line support. This includes advanced troubleshooting of print workflows, user support, and managing hardware failure reports with external vendors.
Planning and implementing changes in the IT environment according to established processes.
Serving as a technical specialist in internal and external IT projects related to printing and printers, and participating in the implementation of new technical solutions.
Developing, maintaining, and proactively updating technical documentation, operational instructions, and guides for both end users and colleagues.
Collaborating with colleagues and external vendors on more complex incidents or changes to contribute to the development and quality assurance of our IT services.
Your workplace
We are the municipality's IT department and part of the Business Support and Services department. Approximately 120 employees work here to deliver stable, secure, and modern IT services to the municipality's operations—and ultimately to students, users, and residents.
On the Office-Close IT team, we are a group of about 10 employees who together are responsible for all the municipality's printers and services within Audio & Visual. This means we handle everything from print solutions to video meetings, projectors, and booking screens. Our mission is to make the workday simpler and smoother for all employees by ensuring that office-close technology works seamlessly in everyday life. About you
We are looking for someone who wants to take on a technical specialist role and drive the development of our print environment. We see that you have:
Post-secondary education in IT, system administration, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
Knowledge of operations or technical administration of IT systems or platforms, and knowledge of troubleshooting and analysis in complex IT environments.
Documented experience from 2nd and 3rd line support work, with experience providing support both via remote access and on-site.
Knowledge of or previous experience with HP printers, HP Futuresmartand the tool HP Web Jetadmin.
Knowledge of or previous experience with the PaperCut MF print platform. Networks, DHCP, and DNS.
Good experience working with Active Directory and general print management.

Complex printer environments and FollowMe solutions.
