Our Operations
Region Uppsala is responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development and culture in Uppsala County. With over 12,000 employees, we are one of the county's largest employers and an important player in societal development. We are also home to Uppsala University Hospital and work closely with Uppsala University and other research environments.
The IT Department is part of the Executive Office and works to develop and maintain a stable, secure and forward-looking digital infrastructure. About the Job
Do you want to work with IT that actually makes a difference in everyday life? At Region Uppsala, IT is an important part of making healthcare and research function - and develop.
We are now looking for a systems technician for our Systems Operations EPJ group. In this role, you will be an important contact point for the Medical Imaging area, where you will work closely with both operations and technology.
What Does the Role Involve?
You work broadly with operations, management and development of several system environments - but above all with making the whole thing work in everyday life.
It involves:
• ensuring that systems run stably and securely
• keeping track of documentation and structure
• supporting changes, upgrades and incidents
• providing technical support to colleagues and operations
• participating in meetings and planning with Medical Imaging
You become part of a team with several systems technicians - so you don't work alone, but together with colleagues where you share responsibility and help each other in everyday life.
The role is also broader than just Medical Imaging, and you will spend some time on work related to the electronic medical record system and other parts of the EPJ area.
You will also be involved in implementing new solutions in the coming years, which means the role will develop over time.
It is a mix of practical technical work, collaboration and thinking ahead - how we do things better and more sustainably.
Who Are We Looking For?
We believe that you:
• have experience with systems operations or similar
• enjoy a role where you take responsibility and hold things together
• like order and structure (e.g. documentation and structure)
• can switch between solving problems here and now and thinking long-term
If you have experience from healthcare IT or similar environments, that is a plus - but not a requirement.
Swedish is a requirement for the position and that you express yourself well in English in speech and writing.
