Job Responsibilities As a systems specialist in the Radio and Telephony unit, you'll be one of approximately 50 employees working with radio, mobile core, and operational telephony in various groups. This position has a primary focus on mobile communication solutions covering both access and core. We're a cohesive team of competent, helpful technicians and specialists, so you'll have excellent opportunities to develop. You'll have a creative and problem-solving role in third-level technical support, where you work with troubleshooting, fault resolution, and operational monitoring. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in system tests and system adaptations, and work with simulations in the lab. The work will also involve meetings with suppliers to help develop products. You may also be involved in investigations related to business development. As a specialist, you're expected to be proactive and driving in our operations and those of our users. We're just starting an exciting project where a new 5G network for the railway's future mobile communication, FRMCS (future railway mobile communication system), will be built. In addition to FRMCS, our core mission is to maintain our existing 2G and 4G systems. This position is based in Örebro, Gävle, Uppsala, or Borlänge. The role may involve some travel and on-call duty in the future. Based on your experience and qualifications, you'll receive introduction and internal training. Qualifications You as a person: To succeed in the role, you need a solid technical interest in telecommunications, good problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to help our users. You like working as part of a team where you're self-directed and have the ability to plan and complete activities as well as support your colleagues. Since the role requires dialogue and collaboration with both internal and external parties, you also need good communication skills. We're looking for you who: have post-secondary education (vocational, university, or college education) in relevant areas for this role (for example, telecommunications, data communications, or equivalent) or other educational background combined with work experience that we consider equivalent have many years of work experience with core systems for mobile telephony within 2G, 4G, or 5G have a valid driver's license for a passenger car express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English It's not a requirement for the position, but is considered an advantage if you: have experience from any of the following areas: server management, virtualization, VMware, containers have experience with Linux, bash script have experience leading and/or participating in business development projects Additional Information Swedish citizenship is required as the position is classified at a security level.
