The Digital Infrastructure unit currently consists of ten employees with broad experience, great technical interest, and close collaboration in day-to-day work. The Digital Infrastructure unit is part of the IT and Digitalization Office, which also includes the units Digital Workplace and Collaboration, and Digitalization and Cooperation. The IT and Digitalization Office has a municipality-wide responsibility for IT and digitalization issues. In your assignment, you contribute to new and more efficient work methods and smart solutions for the municipality and its residents. Work Tasks As a systems specialist with focus on data communication and IT security, you work with analyzing needs, developing proposals, and implementing IT infrastructure and services that support the organization's mission. You contribute to ensuring that the municipality has a fit-for-purpose, secure, and relevant IT infrastructure and platform services that meet operational needs. You serve as an important bridge between technology and security, with a focus on strengthening and protecting our IT infrastructure and services. With broad IT and technical knowledge and specialized expertise in infrastructure, data communication, and IT security, you translate the organization's and IT organization's needs into technically sustainable solutions. You also work with environmental monitoring and operations in the area together with the rest of the team. Together with the group, you also contribute to describing and developing the infrastructure architecture. The team you will join works with, among other things: - Management of our data communication platforms from Cisco, F5, Infoblox, and Check Point. - Monitoring and troubleshooting, including third-line support. - Participation in implementation and development projects. - Environmental monitoring and management within data communication and IT security together with others in the team. - Translating legal and operational requirements into technical solutions. - Proactively identifying technical gaps through scanning and analysis, and proposing and implementing measures together with the team. - Acting as a technical bridge and supporting operations in understanding technical risks. - Acting as technical expert in IT-related security incidents and supporting or driving technical investigation work. Depending on operational needs, you may also work with other tasks that match your expertise. Qualifications The role requires: - Academic education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience that the employer deems equivalent. - Several years of experience in technical work within relevant IT areas. - Experience in IT operations in large and/or complex organizations. - Understanding of IT and how business and IT interact. - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. - Category B driver's license. Meritorious Qualifications It is meritorious if you have experience with: - Cisco (switching, wireless, routing) - Check Point (firewall) - Cisco DNA Center - Cisco ISE - F5 BIG-IP - Infoblox, IPv6, DNSsec - BGP, MPLS protocols - Linux operating system - PKI - ITIL - PM3 collaboration model - Work in the public sector - Agile work methods, such as Scrum - IT security Terms of Employment Permanent full-time employment with start as soon as possible by mutual agreement. Tests and work trials may be included in the recruitment process. Copies of grades are submitted to Falun Municipality in connection with the interview.
