Do you want to use your technical expertise where it truly makes a difference? SMHI is seeking a systems integrator who wants to be part of developing and maintaining mission-critical IT and contribute to a modern and robust digital workplace. About the Role You will join the Digital Workplace unit within the IT department, where we work with the management and development of business-critical systems and services for all of SMHI. The unit is responsible for digital workplace solutions, business-supporting systems, and related system integrations. A systems integrator is a crucial role in creating a good digital workplace. This is achieved by integrating standalone systems into a cohesive digital workplace. As a systems integrator, you will primarily work with integration and management of SMHI's CMS for intranet and smhi.se, as well as our document management system. You will also contribute to work with other systems and integrations within the unit's area of responsibility, in close collaboration with colleagues in both operations and IT. We listen to operational needs and monitor the external environment to find appropriate solutions that fit into our IT environment and facilitate SMHI's mission. About You We are looking for someone with an academic degree in IT or equivalent education/experience. You have a strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Experience working in a structured IT environment with, for example, development, test, and production environments is required, and you need to have experience integrating, configuring, and customizing systems on the Linux platform. It is a merit if you have experience with: - CMS solutions, such as Sitevision, WordPress, or similar - Automation and configuration management, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef - Platforms and tools such as Node.js, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Varnish, or Alfresco - RPM packaging - Integrations with Windows environments - IT infrastructure, authentication, networking, or Exchange - Agile working methods and approaches - Work within government, regional, or municipal operations and understanding of, for example, public procurement regulations - Relevant certifications in the field We are looking for someone who is organized, quality-conscious, and has strong analytical abilities. You enjoy solving complex problems and can work independently as the role requires self-motivation, responsibility, and persistence. You have many contact points, both within your own unit and with operations as a whole. Therefore, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, can build trusting relationships, and enjoy working with others to find sustainable and operationally tailored solutions, while also contributing to an open and supportive collaborative climate where you help create a work environment where others want to be. You are motivated by developing alongside knowledgeable colleagues and appreciate working in an organization where IT is an important part of the societal mission.
