For such a system to function requires much more than individual technical solutions. Electronics, mechanics, software, hardware, ILS and other engineering disciplines need to work together to create a functioning whole. Now we are looking for a systems engineer who wants to help ensure that customer needs are translated into well-thought-out, robust and verifiable solutions. The recruitment is conducted by AxÖ Consulting and you will be directly employed by BAE Systems Bofors. About the role As a systems engineer, you do not primarily work with design or development within a single engineering discipline. Instead, you are responsible for the whole. You become the link between customer needs, project goals and the technical solutions developed within the organization. The role is about understanding what the customer actually wants to achieve, breaking down requirements into concrete system requirements and ensuring that all parts work together efficiently. In practice, this means you work closely with project managers, technical specialists and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from early customer dialogues and requirements work to verification, validation and delivery. This is a role for you who thrives in complex technical environments and is motivated by getting people, technology and requirements to meet in a functioning whole. Your responsibilities Take responsibility for systems work on components, subsystems or complete weapon systems Analyze and break down customer requirements into technical system requirements Help define system architecture and interfaces between different engineering disciplines Ensure that solutions are feasible from both a technical and business perspective Support project managers on technical issues throughout various project phases Develop and manage requirement specifications, system documentation and decision support materials Participate in verification, validation and testing of system solutions Coordinate dialogue between different areas of expertise to ensure a cohesive system perspective The team you will be part of You will join a group with broad expertise and varied experience levels. We are looking for you who Have a degree in engineering or higher technical education, or equivalent experience Have experience with systems engineering, technical requirements management or technical development work in complex projects Are experienced in collaborating between different engineering disciplines Communicate fluently in Swedish and English Meritorious Experience from the defense industry or the Swedish Armed Forces Experience with requirements management tools and system development processes Experience with ARAS Experience with DOORS Personal qualities To succeed in the role, we believe you are analytical, curious and enjoy seeing connections.
