About the Position Meteorological systems are essential for the aviation industry to succeed! As a Systems Engineer Meteorology, you will be an important link in maintaining technical safety in aviation and air traffic by working with meteorological systems, which include weather sensors and other hardware. In your role, you will maintain close contact with our customers and their stakeholders. You will have both practical and administrative technical work, where troubleshooting, analysis, documentation, and system adaptation are part of your duties. Business travel may occur. Some of your tasks may include: Developing technical solutions for customers Creating relevant documentation depending on the system Developing and leading training programs Support and error analysis of meteorological data Project management support Who Are You? To thrive in this role, we see that you have a good technical understanding, are thorough, and have the ability to work in a structured and independent manner in complex environments. You enjoy being the hub with multiple contact points simultaneously and collaborate easily. Since the role involves many contact points and you are a connecting link, we see that you have strong communication skills. You also find it easy to convey technical information in a clear and professional manner. We prefer that you have at least 3 years of technical education at secondary level in data and electronics. Alternatively, higher education focused on electronics/mechanics. You like to work independently as well as in a team. The position requires good computer proficiency and fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. The position also requires Swedish citizenship and a B driver's license. The Role Requires: Multi-year experience with meteorological systems Experience with and knowledge of sensors and software for these systems Experience maintaining airport and aviation systems Computer networks and database management Meritorious if you have: Knowledge and experience with regulations from ICAO, WMO, and Transportstyrelsen Completed training and course programs Experience with modem communication Additional Information This is an intermittent employment position starting in September or by agreement through December 31, 2026. The position is located at Arlanda. Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance that includes background checks, security interviews, and drug testing.
