As a Power Systems Engineer/Functional Responsible for Power Supply, you will have a key role in an operation responsible for safe and efficient air traffic control – both civilian and military, national and international. The Common Infrastructure Unit within System & Development is a resource provider for operations and development assignments as well as projects within LFV. The role will work with power supply for both operational and administrative systems. As a systems engineer within System and Development, you will work across a broad range of system and management issues. You will work with operations, maintenance, management, and development of our power supply for our air traffic control systems, for example radar, navigation, communication, administrative systems, etc. Your responsibilities include: - Planning and support regarding power supply for air traffic control systems and administrative systems. - Problem analysis of operational systems. - Planning of power supply for new and existing facilities and equipment. - Contributing to the development and review of specifications for backup power systems and power solutions. - Participation in projects and activities, both as a requirements setter and as support in implementation. - Planning, execution and follow-up of operations and maintenance activities. Your Profile We are looking for you with a technical secondary education focused on electrical engineering, power supply or other relevant equivalent experience. To be successful in the role, you have good knowledge: - of the power supply chain and various backup power systems. - of Swedish electrical safety legislation with underlying regulations, ordinances and industry standards. - of Swedish and English with good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: - good knowledge of standby generators, UPS systems and larger battery/rectifier systems with associated batteries and alarm monitoring. - good knowledge in planning power supply for communication equipment, planning power supply for new and existing electrical installations. - good knowledge in operation and maintenance of various types of backup power systems. - obtained authorization for low voltage (AL) from the Swedish Electrical Safety Board (Elsäkerhetsverket). - experience working with power supply for socially critical 24/7 operations. - knowledge and experience from risk assessments of electrical installations. Work with planning and support of power supply requires good problem-solving skills and responsibility when analyzing operational systems, as well as strong planning ability to ensure sustainable and operationally reliable solutions. You should be self-driven and have an analytical approach. The role also requires clear communication and good cooperation in the development and review of specifications as well as participation in projects. Through relationship building and adaptability, effective collaborations are created and flexibility in an operation where conditions and priorities may change. Additional Information The position is a permanent employment. The duty station is primarily at one of our offices in Sundsvall/Timrå, Stockholm/Arlanda or Malmö/Sturup. The employment includes some travel, sometimes with short notice, which requires flexibility. A B-class driver's license is a prerequisite. Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance which includes register checks, security interviews and drug testing. The position requires Swedish citizenship.
