LFV is now seeking Systems Engineers within IP who will be stationed in Gothenburg and work on a new assignment within critical communications that includes operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the national radio communication system Rakel. At LFV, you and your colleagues will ensure reliable and secure communication for society-critical functions in areas such as public order, security, health, and total defense. About the Position In this role, you will be second-line support and handle both operations, maintenance, development, and technical support within your area of expertise. You will also perform configuration changes and actively contribute to creating and improving procedures, instructions, and documentation in our knowledge database. Together with other colleagues, you ensure that information and work processes remain up-to-date and relevant. This role offers a combination of technical problem-solving, management, and development tasks where you have the opportunity to make a real difference for society's critical communication services. Your Main Responsibilities • Responsible for design, planning, implementation, operations, and development of IP networks • Participation in developing technical roadmap for IP networks • Technical responsibility for planning and executing delivery projects • Perform HLD and LLD in existing and new networks • Experience in in-depth troubleshooting in IP-based networks • Configure in existing and new networks within assignments and projects • Train operations staff on implemented solutions • Maintain the quality of data entered into databases and support systems Who Are You? We're looking for someone with: • Post-secondary education in IT/Telecommunications or equivalent experience we deem comparable • At least 5 years of experience in the field at CCNP level or similar • Very good knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalls • Very good knowledge of configuration, design, and implementation • Experience in network design and troubleshooting • Good knowledge of telecommunications, data, radio, or broadband networks and their structure and relationships • Good ability to read and interpret technical documentation in both Swedish and English • Good ability to speak and write fluently in Swedish and English • Good computer and systems skills Merits for this Position: • Product knowledge of Cisco/PaloAlto/Arista/Juniper • Experience in IP security • Knowledge of Element Managers for networks • Experience with and understanding of ITIL • Technical understanding of TETRA/4G/5G • Experience in technical support at a mobile operator • Experience working with TETRA systems, such as Rakel Other Information These are permanent positions with duty station in Gothenburg. On-call duty roster may be included in the employment. Before employment, LFV will conduct a security clearance that includes register checks, security interviews, and drug testing. This position requires Swedish citizenship. What is NMC? Network Management Center (NMC) is our operations center in Gothenburg. At NMC is the Network Operation Centre (NOC), which is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year with operations engineers who handle monitoring and perform initial failure analysis and initiate and perform fault resolution. At NMC there are also several teams of systems engineers who are specialized in infrastructure, systems, and communications, etc. These groups serve as second-line support to the NOC.
