As a systems engineer, you will play a central role in developing advanced C-UAS solutions. You will work with systems designed to detect, identify, and counter drone threats. Here you combine technical expertise with a long-term perspective on how complex systems should be used, maintained, and developed throughout their entire lifecycle. We are looking for someone with experience in systems engineering, ILS, product support, or lifecycle management. About the Position: In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that system availability, operational reliability, and maintainability are considered during development. You work at the intersection of system architecture, development, and product support, and contribute to solutions that not only work technically but can also be used and maintained efficiently in an operational environment. The work is cross-functional, collaborating with development, project management, business, aftermarket, and customers. Through dialogue with customers and users, you capture operational needs and translate them into technical requirements, analyses, and sustainable support solutions. The business is in an expansion phase. This means you have the opportunity to influence and further develop strategies, methods, and structures within ILS and system support. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that ILS and lifecycle perspective are integrated into system architecture and technical design Develop strategies for system support, maintenance, availability, and the product's long-term capability Drive requirements and analyses related to operational reliability, maintainability, and support solutions Translate operational needs from customers and users into technical requirements and solutions Contribute to architecture and design decisions considering availability, maintenance, and lifecycle costs Act as technical advisor in collaboration between development, project management, aftermarket, and customers Establish and improve methods, structures, and practices within ILS and system support We Are Looking for Someone Who: Holds a degree in engineering (civilingenjör, högskoleingenjör, or equivalent technical education) Has relevant work experience in systems engineering, ILS, product support, maintenance, or lifecycle management Has experience with complex technical systems and understands system architecture, requirements engineering, or technical design Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It is advantageous if you have worked with defense systems, aviation, radar, telecommunications, or other security-critical and technically advanced systems. Experience with established ILS standards, analyses, or methods is also a plus. To succeed in this role, we believe you are analytical and solution-oriented with the ability to switch between technical details and a broader system perspective. You are comfortable taking responsibility, making decisions, and driving complex issues forward even when all prerequisites are not yet established. Since the role involves many contact points, you also need to be communicative and appreciate creating solutions together with others. About the Employment: This is a consultant assignment where you will be employed by Friday and work on assignment with our customer. The position is placed in a security classification. A prerequisite for employment is therefore that you undergo and are approved for security vetting in accordance with applicable regulations.
