Do you want to be part of developing digital services that make a difference for patients, residents, and healthcare professionals? Do you thrive in the space between IT and operations and appreciate work with many stakeholder interactions? Then this role might be for you.
Region Västmanland is investing in digitalization and e-health to create useful and accessible services for residents and healthcare operations. We are now seeking an engaged systems administrator for the E-Services unit.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of a team responsible for managing and developing the region's e-services on 1177. These services support residents' ability to access their care information and communicate with healthcare, for example through appointment booking, health forms, self-sampling, and internet-based treatment.
As a systems administrator, you will work in the intersection between operations and IT. You will participate in both ongoing management and development of our digital services. Your tasks will include:
System administration and configuration
Testing and quality assurance
Change management and troubleshooting
Training and user support
Collaboration with operations, vendors, and other parts of the IT organization
Participation in development projects and implementations
You will have significant responsibility while working closely with colleagues, healthcare operations, and external partners. The role also involves participation in regional and national networks and development initiatives.
About the Workplace
The Digitalization Support Administration is Region Västmanland's internal IT organization and is responsible for the region's IT services and healthcare and operations systems. The E-Services unit operates and coordinates the region's e-health work and collaborates closely with both operations and national stakeholders to develop future digital healthcare services.
With us, you will work in an environment characterized by development, collaboration, and professional growth. We encourage initiative, welcome improvement suggestions, and offer excellent opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in developing digital solutions and who is motivated by creating value for both residents and healthcare operations. You have post-secondary education in healthcare, IT, or another education that the employer considers equivalent.
You have an interest in digitalization and technology and a willingness to develop in IT-related tasks. You are comfortable in different digital environments and have good ability to understand, grasp, and handle technical issues.
If you have experience driving or supporting digital change initiatives, such as implementing new systems, working methods, or digital solutions, we consider that a major asset. The role involves close collaboration with operations, where you contribute to translating needs into usable digital solutions and support the implementation and development of new working methods.
It is also advantageous if you have experience in system administration, system maintenance, user support, training, testing, quality assurance, or operations development. Experience with healthcare-related IT systems or work in healthcare is also beneficial.
As a person, you are self-directed, organized, and solution-oriented. You have an analytical approach, see connections, and can translate complex issues into practical and sustainable solutions. We particularly value your ability to understand, break down, and solve complex problems.
You enjoy working with others while taking responsibility for your tasks and driving your work forward. Since the role involves many stakeholder interactions, it is important that you communicate clearly and pedagogically, both verbally and in writing.
We operate in a large and complex organization where the services we are responsible for are constantly evolving. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible, easily adapt to new working methods, and can adjust to changing circumstances. You are a good ambassador for our services and represent the operations professionally in interactions with users and partners within the region. The position requires good Swedish language skills and a B-category driver's license. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
