About the role
As a Payroll System Administrator, you're responsible for managing, operating, and developing our payroll and HR systems. The role is broad and varied, combining operational work with long-term development projects. You ensure that systems function stably and securely while driving improvements that simplify work for the organization.
One of the things that makes this role unique with us is that you work broadly – across multiple municipalities and companies at the same time. You'll help develop solutions used in Köping, Arboga, Kungsör, and Surahammar, giving you greater context and variety than in many similar roles. Here you work in an environment where multiple operations meet, making the work both more developmental and more dynamic.
You'll become a natural expert and advisor on system matters, working closely with managers, HR, payroll functions, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The role involves significant independent responsibility, while you're part of a skilled team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday work.
Your responsibilities:
• Ensure operation, management, and development of our payroll systems
• Work with integrations and data quality between systems
• Provide support to managers, HR, and payroll functions on system matters
• Handle support requests and incidents
• Adapt systems based on agreements, organization, and business needs
• Serve as contact person with suppliers
• Develop and create documentation
• Participate in and drive development initiatives and projects
Your background, experience, and qualifications
To be qualified for this position, we're looking for someone with:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field, payroll consultant (or equivalent experience)
• Several years of experience as a system administrator for payroll/HR systems, Personec and associated modules (Personec P, output, negotiation, Neptune)
• Experience with system integrations and troubleshooting
• Experience with support, incident management, and user support
• Good understanding of payroll processes and their dependencies
• Ability to work methodically with management, change, and documentation
• Good system understanding, both big picture and details
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
It's also a plus if you have experience from the public sector, knowledge of laws and collective agreements in payroll and HR, experience with governance models, or have led working groups and collaboration forums.
