We are now looking for a driven System Administrator / Linux Specialist who wants to take full responsibility for the design, configuration, and operation of our critical environments. Your Assignment As a system administrator/Linux specialist, you will be part of the Cyber Operations Division, Access Development Office. The office is tasked with developing and delivering access and exploitation capabilities for signals intelligence operations. The division contributes to strengthening protection against sophisticated IT attacks from abroad for critical infrastructure in Sweden. By identifying and tracking the attackers behind these attacks and building knowledge about their methods and motives, we offer both technical solutions and advisory services to government agencies and state-owned enterprises. In this way, we contribute to Sweden's cyber defense. In the role of system administrator/Linux specialist, you will design and implement complex solutions from the ground up. Your main responsibilities: Network Infrastructure: Design and operation of Linux-based networks, including routing, VLANs, VPN solutions, and network segmentation. Virtualization & Isolation: Implement and manage application isolation using namespaces, containers, and sandboxes. System Development: Build, maintain, and administer Linux distributions and packages in CI/CD environments. Security: Responsible for security architecture in strictly isolated (air-gapped) environments with high segmentation requirements. Operation & Quality: Configure network topologies and firewall rules, and work systematically with version control and issue tracking. Evening and weekend work as well as travel may occur. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who have: High school diploma or equivalent competence acquired through work experience Several years of experience as a system administrator in Linux environments In-depth Linux expertise. Experience with network configuration and VPN. Familiarity with virtualization and application isolation. Strong skills in scripting, automation, and CI/CD. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in spoken and written form It is a major plus if you also have: Post-secondary education in computer science, network technology, systems science, or equivalent Relevant Linux certifications Experience in high-security environments and critical infrastructure (including air-gap). Knowledge of network segmentation, Linux hardening, and security architecture. Experience with Red and Blue teaming and network troubleshooting. Experience with BSD systems, IoT, and configuration as code.
