The role also includes actively participating in IT security work around these systems, from hardening to accreditation processes. You work in an environment where precision and a methodical approach are fundamental prerequisites, not just desirable qualities. The role combines system administration, network technology, virtualization, and IT security in a complex operational environment. You work both independently and closely with colleagues and the business. Key Responsibilities Build, configure, and manage IT systems in Windows Server environments with high security and separation requirements Administer and configure network equipment (routing, switching, network segmentation) Work with virtualization platforms and backup solutions Automate operational tasks through scripting and configuration management Document systems, configurations, and changes in a structured and traceable manner Support IT security work through technical hardening, documentation for accreditation processes, and development of IT Security Specifications Contribute to the department's overall technical capabilities and skills development Qualifications Multiple years of professional experience as a system administrator or in a comparable role Practical experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPO, WSUS) Experience with IT security work Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and IT infrastructure Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written Meritorious Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Citrix, or similar) Knowledge of Cisco IOS and network segmentation (equivalent to CCNA/ICND2) Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or PowerShell Linux administration experience Previous work with the Swedish Armed Forces or other government agencies with high security requirements Driver's license for passenger car (category B) Experience with IT security work, such as knowledge of accreditation processes, KSF, and ITSS Who Are You?
