About the job You'll be part of an experienced Linux team working with modern tools, open source software, and a strong focus on automation. We use, among other things: Puppet and Foreman for configuration management and installation ZFS and Ceph for advanced storage solutions KVM and libvirt for virtualization Git for version control Python and Bash for scripting and automation Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualization Kubernetes and FreeBSD appear in parts of the environment With us, you get both breadth and depth—one day you optimize central systems, the next you help researchers get the most out of their tools. About you We're looking for someone who enjoys providing good service and strives to deliver excellent solutions. Your genuine interest in technology means you constantly learn new things and actively contribute to development within your area. To thrive in the role, you should be flexible and comfortable working in a changing environment. You have a good ability to organize, plan, and document your work efficiently. For us, it's just as important that you're the right person as that you have the right technical skills. You enjoy working with others, and your ability to collaborate is therefore a great asset in your work. We want you to have: Experience administering and developing Linux systems, including installation, software configuration, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of common programming languages such as C, C++, Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with Git or similar version control tools. Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have: Experience with tools such as Puppet and Foreman or equivalent. Knowledge of virtualization technology, e.g., VMWare, VirtualBox, Xen, or Libvirt. Experience with storage systems based on ZFS and Ceph. Participation in open-source projects. Experience with FreeBSD or work with Kubernetes. Experience with ticket management systems.
