Welding Manager / QMS Coordinator with IWS Certification
About the Role Do you want a key position where technology, quality, and continuous improvement come together? We're looking for an experienced Welding Manager with IWS certification who wants to take overall responsibility for welding quality, process development, and QMS work in an operation with high demands on safety, standards, and delivery precision. In this role, you'll be part of the production management team and report directly to the site manager. You'll become the company's welding specialist and serve as an important resource for the organization in quality, environment, and occupational health. About the Role As Welding Manager, you're responsible for ensuring that all welding work meets applicable standards, customer requirements, and certification requirements. You'll work both operationally and strategically to develop processes, procedures, and working methods while supporting production in daily operations. The role involves close collaboration with production, quality, engineering, subcontractors, and external parties such as regulatory authorities and certification bodies. Your main responsibilities Ensure welding work meets requirements according to, among others, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 Develop, document, and implement WPS/WPQR and welding-related procedures Monitor welding processes and quality controls before, during, and after welding Responsible for equipment, calibration, validation, and traceability Train and support welders and welding coordinators Participate in and follow up on internal and external audits Coordinate and support the organization's work in quality, environment, and occupational health Handle nonconformities, risk assessments, and corrective actions Be the point of contact for matters related to regulatory authorities, environment, and certifications Assess and follow up on subcontractors in welding-related work You also have the authority to stop work that does not meet quality or safety requirements and initiate improvements within the operation. We're looking for you who have IWS certification or equivalent welding competence Several years of experience in welding work, quality control, and process monitoring Good knowledge of welding methods such as MIG, MAG, TIG, and MMA Experience working according to ISO 3834, EN 1090, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Experience in QMS work and audits Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Good administrative skills and experience working structurally with documentation Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Class B driver's license It's a merit if you have experience with VIQMA management systems, SSG training, and occupational health work in industrial operations.
