About the Role As Supply and Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing the procurement and supply function at SSAB in Arendal. The role is broad and varied with a clear focus on ensuring efficient material flows, developing procurement work, and contributing to the company's continued development. You'll have personnel responsibility for a team and be part of the management group, where you're expected to contribute with a holistic perspective and be an active player in the company's strategic development. The work is a combination of strategy and practice. You'll drive improvement initiatives, develop processes and supplier collaborations while staying close to daily operations and quickly shifting between long-term issues and operational decisions. You'll work with both direct and indirect procurement, be responsible for material supply and inventory management, and help ensure the company is well-prepared for future volume increases and investments. The role involves many contact points, both within the local organization and with colleagues across the SSAB Group, where you build networks and ensure that the Group's strengths are combined with local needs. Your Experience We're looking for someone with experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management, preferably from manufacturing or other complex operations. You've worked in a role where you combined business thinking with operational responsibility and feel comfortable leading change and developing work methods. You likely have experience negotiating, developing supplier relationships, and working data-driven to make well-founded decisions. We also believe you have post-secondary education or equivalent experience that has given you a strong analytical foundation.
