At the Department of Literature, History of Ideas and Religion, research and teaching are conducted in literary studies, history of ideas and learning, religious studies and theology, theater studies, and digital humanities. The department consists of approximately 100 employees and approximately 1,000 students. We are now seeking an academic advisor who can work as a substitute at 50% for a period of six months. Responsibilities You will be one of three academic advisors at the department, each with your own areas of responsibility and working closely together. Your work and area of responsibility will be within literary studies and theater studies where you will provide support and guidance to students through advising conversations, study planning, and follow-up, within both individual courses and programs. The responsibilities also include planning and participating in introductions and information meetings, preparing matters concerning course credits, prerequisites, and exemptions. Additional tasks may be added. Qualifications You will collaborate with teachers, study directors, vice head of education, educational administrators, and communicators at the department, which places high demands on your ability to work collaboratively. We are looking for someone who has: an academic advisor degree or other academic education that the employer deems equivalent experience in academic advising within the higher education sector very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is an advantage if you have experience working with the educational administration systems Ladok and NyA. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. In the appointment process, an overall assessment of the above qualifications will be made and the person with the best ability to perform the tasks will be prioritized. Employment The employment is a temporary position for 6 months at 50% based at the Department of Literature, History of Ideas and Religion. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.
