Fysikum is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Science with approximately 230 employees, of which around 70 are doctoral students. The Department of Astronomy has approximately 80 employees, of which 30 are doctoral students, and is Sweden's largest in its field.
Both departments are part of AlbaNova University Center – a strong research and education cluster. Collaboration is close, particularly in education, with course offerings ranging from orientation courses to doctoral level. In total, the departments have over 700 students each year.
We are now seeking a full-time academic advisor with primary responsibility for undergraduate education. You will have a central role in developing and quality-assuring study administration and contributing to a professional, accessible, and student-focused educational environment.

Duties
As an academic advisor, you will have a central role in the educational organization, with particular focus on undergraduate education at Fysikum and the Department of Astronomy. You will work closely with study directors, academic advisors, and the university's central student services. You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of study administration and student-related tasks, including:
Academic advising and administration of students, primarily at the undergraduate level.
Guidance within physics teacher education and teacher professional development.
Handling of targeted pedagogical support and course recognition.
Planning, participation, and coordination of information at admissions, enrollment, and orientations.
Planning and participation in open houses, career fairs, graduation ceremonies, recruitment initiatives, and information meetings.
Updating and developing educational websites.
Scheduling and facility booking.
Organizationally, you will belong to the administrative department at Fysikum.
Qualifications
Requirements
Higher education.
Experience in study administration or similar work within a university or college.
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
Good knowledge of the Office package.
Experience with administrative systems such as LADOK, Canvas, NyA, and TimeEdit.
Good collaboration skills and strong customer service orientation.
Meritorious
Subject knowledge in physics and/or astronomy.
Experience as an academic advisor or education coordinator (preferably with a focus on natural sciences).
Experience with web and social media communication.
Personal Qualities

About the Position
The position is a one-year temporary contract and is full-time. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
