The assignment as a career and education counselor includes, among other things: conducting motivating guidance conversations with individual students and group work in classrooms in all grades; planning PRAO weeks, visits to upper secondary schools and workplaces, etc.; the upper secondary school selection process and planning and conducting information meetings for students and guardians; serving as a link between primary and secondary school during transitions; being part of the student support team (EHT) as a natural part of the work; guiding and supporting your colleagues in career and education guidance work in daily operations; participating and developing together with your career counselor colleagues in the municipality and region; following up and evaluating the school's career guidance plan together with colleagues in the Torvalla area schools.
