The upper secondary school activity area has varied operations aimed at young people. Carlsund Education Center is one of Motala municipality's upper secondary schools. We cherish values such as multiculturalism, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. The school has seven national vocational programs:

• Construction and Infrastructure
• Electrical and Energy
• Automotive and Transport
• Sales and Service
• Hotel and Tourism
• Industrial Technology
We also have an Introduction Program and upper secondary apprenticeship training within our national programs. The school constitutes a creative environment and we develop our operations in close collaboration with local industry representatives where student entrepreneurship is in focus.

TASKS
At the upper secondary school, we are now seeking a career and academic counselor. As a career and academic counselor, you have a driving role in guidance work, both as support to other staff at the units and toward students. The career and academic counselor is part of the school's Student Support Services and is part of the Student Support Services team.
You will:
Provide guidance individually and/or in groups.
Provide coaching to school staff and have the overall picture of career and academic guidance work within the school units.
Adapt guidance according to each student's needs, placing the individual at the center.
Create motivation for further goals and future.
Provide tools to students for how to make decisions based on their strengths and weaknesses.
Collaborate with external actors such as the Employment Agency and labor market unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree from the Career and Academic Counselor Program
We are looking for you who have a degree from the Career and Academic Counselor Program.
You take active initiative in social settings, step forward and find it easy to create new relationships and maintain relationships.
You organize and plan your work well, work according to a clear process where you complete what you started. You set time frames and meet deadlines.
You follow set goals, set your own, work toward them, and focus on results. You are driven by goal- and results-oriented thinking in prioritization, planning, and action. You change your direction when goals change.
Work well with other people. Relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through a pragmatic focus on the common goal.
You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
Employment form: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: August 2026 or by agreement.
Work hours: Monday–Friday
