As a career and academic advisor, you will be part of Bollnäs Municipality's integrated student health services. Student health services work preventatively and implement measures that benefit all children's health. This includes, in addition to career and academic advisors, school nurses and school physicians, psychologists, social workers, and special education teachers. Job Responsibilities As a career and academic advisor in Bollnäs Municipality, your primary task is to provide information about education and work, and to support students in identifying their personal strengths and goals. You work closely with other school staff to create the best possible conditions for students. Your most important tool is the personal conversation, and the role requires you to stay informed about changes in the job market, education, and society. You should be able to guide both in groups and individually. Your responsibilities include contact with both internal and external partners as part of developing collaboration between school, education, and the workplace. You are also an important part of the school's student health team. You will work individually at your school but also as part of a team with other career and academic advisors who meet regularly. Qualifications We are looking for someone with training designed for the role of career and academic advisor. You have experience guiding people in various contexts and have a desire and passion to support young people. Previous experience in the field is a merit. As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to different situations. You are an excellent communicator who builds relationships, can work independently, but also see collaboration and teamwork as a natural part of your work. Furthermore, you are creative and see opportunities rather than obstacles, and can contribute new solutions. You have the ability to motivate and inspire others so they develop and feel good. You are skilled at creating open dialogue and adapt your approach based on the situation. Finally, we believe it is important that you are aware of the significance of the career and academic advisor's work and want to promote and develop this role at the school. You have a holistic perspective and can identify areas for improvement in the operations that positively impact students' health, development, and goal achievement.
