Career Counselor (Study and Career Guidance Advisor) Nextwork Sweden AB is seeking a dedicated career counselor to join our Career Guidance program on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with people and help job seekers find the right path toward employment or education. As a career counselor, you will play an important role in participants' development and work both individually and in groups. Responsibilities In your role as a career counselor, you will, among other things: conduct individual career counseling sessions assess participants' experience, skills, interests, and goals guide participants regarding occupations, educational opportunities, and various career pathways develop goals and an individual action plan together with each participant facilitate and participate in group activities and information sessions monitor participants' progress throughout the program document completed activities and conversations collaborate closely with supervisors and other team members What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who holds a qualification in career counseling and enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. You are confident in your role and can work both independently and collaboratively with others. For us, it is important that you have excellent interpersonal skills, are pedagogical, and can adapt your guidance to meet each participant's individual needs. You need to be able to build trust while helping participants concretely identify opportunities in employment, career choice, and education. About the Position Work Location: Halmstad and Varberg Employment Type: Full-time or part-time by agreement Start Date: By agreement Operations will be conducted in both Halmstad and Varberg. During the startup phase, work may involve time at both locations. Travel between Halmstad and Varberg will be arranged with the program manager for these locations, so you will not need to arrange your own transportation between the two cities. Once operations are fully running, you will primarily be based at one of the locations. We are therefore seeking someone who can be flexible during the startup period and who enjoys being part of building the program from the ground up.
