Kalmarsunds gymnasieförbund is a municipal federation tasked with operating and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4,000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.
Stagneliusskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsunds gymnasieförbund and has approximately 1,100 students and approximately 120 employees. We offer programs in social sciences, economics, law, and business. We also have a unit for students with neuropsychiatric disabilities within the autism spectrum.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The work involves extensive student contact through both individual counseling sessions and information presented to larger groups, with a focus on future study and career opportunities, management of student choices, study plans, grades, and program and school changes, etc.
As a career and education counselor, you are part of the school's student support services and work closely with school management, educators, and administration.
The work involves many contacts with parents, the admissions office, and external actors such as primary schools, universities, folk high schools, adult education, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have a degree in career and education counseling or equivalent education. We would appreciate experience working with young adults and student support services.
The position also requires good knowledge of upper secondary education programs and understanding of the labor market and its needs, as well as thorough knowledge of regulations regarding, for example, final grades, diplomas, and eligibility requirements for higher education studies. You must also have strong administrative skills and be able to express yourself both verbally and in writing.
As a person, you find it easy to establish collaborative relationships, are attentive to students' needs and wishes, see possibilities in difficulties, are flexible, and can work both independently and together with other professionals.
Experience is required.
Career and education counselor degree. Attach diploma.
