Your role is to connect the school and working life parts into a whole and create conditions for continued studies and work. As a study and career guidance counselor, you have a central and important role in primary school and adult education. The position of study and career guidance counselor is 100% and is divided between Renforsskolan and adult education. YOUR COMPETENCE We are looking for you who have a study and career guidance counselor degree and we would like to see that you have experience of similar work. Experience with adult education or work with adults in guidance contexts is also advantageous. You are skilled at guiding students individually and you are also comfortable speaking to groups. You communicate in a professional and clear manner both verbally and in writing. We are looking for you who have a solution-focused approach where you see opportunities and can take your own initiatives. You are service-oriented and have good interpersonal skills. You also have good collaboration skills that contribute to a good working climate. You also need the ability to plan, organize and prioritize your own work. REQUIREMENTS For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register before employment. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE You will work at Renforsskolan, a grades 7-9 school in central Vindeln as well as at adult education. Renforsskolan is located in a beautiful natural setting with proximity to forest, river and nature reserves. You can easily reach the school by car, bus or train from Umeå and carpooling is also available, as we have many commuters with Umeå as their destination. With us, in addition to certified teachers and recreation leaders, there are also a special education teacher, school nurse, assistants, student coach, study and career guidance counselor and school counselor. Renforsskolan has in recent years actively worked together with local businesses in the municipality. At Renforsskolan, we also have pronounced teamwork. You are never alone with challenges and questions, but we always try to support each other. Adult education is an important actor in the work of raising the education level of the municipality's residents.
