Work Tasks
As a student nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice during two work shifts per month, under safe supervision from an experienced mentor. Here you will have the opportunity to practice planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating nursing and medical procedures in an environment where learning, participation, and engagement are in focus. Your assigned mentor works together to support you in developing your role as a future nurse.
Your main placement is on ward 85, where we work with gynecological care and postoperative patients, but you will also have the opportunity to observe at the day ward where we provide chemotherapy to our gynecological cancer patients. This gives you a unique overview of women's healthcare and a valuable head start for your future career.
About the Workplace
Ward 85 is a department consisting of 12 care beds with a focus on gynecology and obstetrics. Here we care for women of all ages. We perform planned/outpatient gynecological operations, treat acute gynecological conditions, and care for women who wish to terminate their pregnancy. We also care for women with gynecological cancer and have a number of beds where we care for pregnant women with complications during pregnancy or after delivery. We also have a day care unit where women receive treatment for gynecological cancer disease.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are studying semester 5 or 6 in the nursing program and have passed grades through semester four. You are curious, engaged, and want to develop in your role as a future nurse. Work can change quickly, so it is important that you are flexible and have the ability to remain calm and focused even in new situations.
Terms of Employment
Hourly employment where you work two work shifts per month.
