Now we want to take the next step in our sustainability work and are therefore looking for a student worker with strong commitment to sustainability issues and a particular focus on ecological sustainability and behavioral science! Your Assignment You will be part of the sustainability department and have the opportunity to work broadly within ecological sustainability at one of Uppsala's largest housing companies. Initially, the focus will be on supporting and driving activities that contribute to reduced energy and water consumption as well as reduced waste in our residential areas. As a student worker, you will become an important part of our work to reduce both the company's and our tenants' environmental and climate impact. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our sustainability specialists and collaborate with several parts of the organization. Your work tasks will include: Participate in and drive campaigns aimed at reducing tenants' energy and water use. Participate in and drive campaigns aimed at reducing tenants' waste and increasing sorting rates. Conduct qualitative studies to identify tenants' needs, wishes, and reasons for various sustainability-related choices. Develop and implement information and communication initiatives related to sustainability issues. Support various parts of Uppsalahem's organization with knowledge and materials within ecological sustainability. Communicate Uppsalahem's sustainability work, both internally and externally. Conduct environmental monitoring within relevant sustainability areas. In this role, you work closely with operations and business development and collaborate with management teams and other operations within the company. You will gain good insight into how sustainability work is conducted in practice and have the opportunity to contribute to concrete improvements for both people and the environment. What is a Student Worker? As a student worker, you study at a university or college in a program while performing qualified work with us. You are offered a flexible position with up to 15 hours of work per week. The employment is designed so you can combine full-time studies with your work at Uppsalahem. You work on the same tasks as our regular staff but with some adjustment to the limited work hours. Who Are You? We are looking for you who: Study at a university or college in, for example, sustainability, behavioral science, or civil engineering in a program. Have good knowledge of Swedish and English. It is a merit if you have previous work experience or have studied project management, communication, or behavioral science. We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and solution-oriented. You have a structured way of working, analytical thinking, and a good ability to prioritize between different tasks. You enjoy collaboration and easily build good relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders. As a person, you are communicative and pedagogical, with the ability to adapt your message to your audience and make complex information easy to understand.
