In this role, you'll work with customer contact and administration while developing your skills in fraud monitoring and balancing work with your studies. About the Position Perido is seeking a student worker in AML/Fraud for one of our clients, a bank based in Stockholm. The position is approximately 15–20 hours per week, with an expectation of around two work shifts per week on average. During summer, you'll need to be available to work full-time for approximately 6–7 weeks, as well as full-time during the period around Christmas and New Year. Work hours may be scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Your Responsibilities In this role, you'll initially work with phone and back office, with the opportunity to develop toward more proactive fraud monitoring over time. Phone and Back Office Handle calls from customers who have experienced fraud or discovered suspicious transactions. You'll help with card blocking, provide customer support during stressful situations, and initiate complaint cases. In back office, you'll handle administrative tasks related to cases. This includes collecting and registering documents such as police reports and receipts, documenting information in the bank's system, and preparing materials for further investigation. Fraud Monitoring Once you're comfortable with the systems and work independently, there's an opportunity to develop toward fraud monitoring. You'll work more proactively identifying and handling suspicious transactions. You'll monitor transaction flows in real-time through the bank's security system, where automated alerts signal unusual behavior. For example, a card suddenly being used in multiple countries on the same day. You'll then analyze the alerts, assess whether it could be actual fraud, and take appropriate action. This may include approving a transaction, freezing a card or account, or contacting the customer if needed.
