About the Role
Do you want to work strategically with climate and ventilation systems in a vital societal operation? As a maintenance engineer in HVAC at Ringhals, you will have a central role in ensuring operational reliability and long-term function in our facilities.
About Us
You will become part of the Mechanical Maintenance – Strategic group, which consists of approximately 20 maintenance engineers responsible for mechanical maintenance at Ringhals. The group works within several technical areas, including diesel, HVAC, pumps, turbines, valves, pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers.
About the Job
As a maintenance engineer, you work long-term to develop and ensure effective maintenance strategies within your technical area – with special focus on ventilation, cooling, and related systems. You contribute to analyzing needs, prioritizing efforts, and translating technical knowledge into concrete improvements in operations.
As a maintenance engineer, you work together with an experienced and cohesive group where we help each other deliver the availability expected for the mechanical components the group is responsible for.
Your Main Responsibilities
Develop and follow up on strategic maintenance plans
Analyze and develop maintenance efforts within your area
Follow up on technical function and contribute with improvement suggestions and modifications
Compile reports and develop and further develop technical documentation, instructions, and guidelines
Responsible for, drive, or participate in change and maintenance projects
Follow technical developments in the field and translate knowledge into operational benefits
Contribute with materials for planning work, and follow up and report technical and financial deviations
Serve as technical support and subject matter expert in ventilation and cooling
Qualification Requirements
About You
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and who thrives in a role where you can combine analysis, structure, and collaboration.
We would like you to have:
A degree in engineering from a program such as energy and HVAC, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent experience from working life
Experience with operations and maintenance work within property management or industry
Good understanding of HVAC systems, cooling processes and heat pumps, as well as control and regulation technology
Ability to plan, prioritize, and create structure – even during periods with varying work pace
Very good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English
Meritorious:
Certification in maintenance, such as European Expert in Maintenance Management
Certification in cooling technology, OVK or similar
As a person, you are curious, structured, and analytical. You thrive with strategic work, handle complex information, and drive improvement efforts with persistence and engagement. You collaborate naturally with others and express yourself clearly in both analyses, plans, and technical documentation.
