Strategic Procurement Manager at Swedish Red Cross The Red Cross is seeking an engaged and development-oriented procurement professional for our central organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine strategic and operational procurement with business development – and at the same time contribute to our humanitarian mission. About the position As a procurement manager, you are responsible, in collaboration with the facilities and contracts manager, for developing and ensuring efficient, sustainable and structured procurement in the organization. The role combines strategic and operational procurement work with process development, analysis and internal competence building. You work closely with several functions within the organization, such as the facilities and contracts manager, logistics, area managers and the business as a whole. This is a broad position with extensive contact points within the organization and with suppliers. For the right person, there will be great opportunities to develop the role. The procurement manager is part of the Finance and Procurement unit. Your main responsibilities Drive and implement procurements and negotiations Develop and implement category strategies Develop and further develop effective procurement processes and policies Ensure compliance with guidelines and framework agreements Prepare analyses and decision-making documents for management Action proposals based on spend analysis and follow-up Train and support employees on procurement matters Contribute to increased procurement maturity in the organization About you We are looking for you who Have at least 7-10 years of experience in operational and strategic procurement Have good analytical ability and a structured way of working Are pedagogical and enjoy training and supporting others Have good collaboration skills and build trust in the organization Work proactively and have the ability to independently drive process improvements within the organization You have Post-secondary education in procurement, economics, logistics or equivalent Experience with procurement, negotiation and contract work Experience with analysis (e.g. spend analysis, KPIs) Very good knowledge of Swedish and English We offer Meaningful work in a values-driven organization Opportunity to influence and develop the procurement function Flexible and inclusive work environment Engaged colleagues and a strong social mission Other information The position is a permanent full-time employment located at our office on Lindhagensgatan in Stockholm. We apply goal-oriented working hours and flexible work, which means you have the opportunity to work from another location up to two days a week based on the business conditions and in consultation with your manager.
