Your Responsibilities As a Strategic Procurement Manager at Saab, you will have a business-critical role in a team with a clear business focus. You will drive procurement work in development and delivery projects while ensuring efficient, sustainable agreements and strong supplier collaborations—both short and long term. In your role, you will: Have commercial responsibility in projects and continuously evaluate the supplier portfolio. Ensure compliance with Saab's procurement strategy, policies, and procedures. Serve as project manager for a product category toward business units and development and production projects. Analyze technical and commercial terms to define procurement strategies. Participate in tender work and cost estimation. Coordinate and act as sub-project manager for procurement matters internally and serve as a bridge between engineering, production, and business. Your Profile As a person, you are responsible and relationship-oriented, with the ability to drive projects and teams toward shared goals. You have strong analytical thinking and are accustomed to making and anchoring strategic decisions in close collaboration with colleagues and suppliers. We would like to see that you have: Post-secondary education in procurement, engineering, or economics, or equivalent work experience. At least a couple of years of experience in strategic procurement, project procurement, and/or project management. A technical interest and ability to quickly grasp new areas. Very good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data handling and analysis. Merits for the role: Experience from a similar role in the technical industry or similar sector. Experience with procurement and business systems, preferably IFS. The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to applicable security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
