About the role
We are now looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager for an established and high-tech company in the aerospace and defense industry. You will become part of an engaged sourcing team in Linköping and will be part of the section focused on the aftermarket!
In this role, you are responsible for developing and managing relationships with several of the largest suppliers in the aviation industry. Through strategic and long-term work, you contribute to securing product lifecycle and ensuring deliveries related to maintenance, support, and upgrades of advanced technical products. 🦾
As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you work closely with the technical organization, project management, sales, and other internal stakeholders to create the best business solutions. You drive negotiations, develop supplier strategies, and ensure that the business reaches its business objectives in terms of quality, cost, and delivery!
The role offers significant personal responsibility, many points of contact, and good opportunities to influence both working methods and processes in a business that is in an exciting growth phase.
Your main responsibilities
Develop and implement supplier strategies
Manage and develop relationships with strategically important suppliers
Drive negotiations and handle contract management
Lead cross-functional procurement teams and coordinate internal stakeholders
Ensure cost-effective and sustainable business solutions
Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and tools
Actively work to ensure delivery capability and long-term supplier development
We are looking for you who
Have a university degree in a relevant field or at least three years of experience in strategic procurement
Have experience driving negotiations and managing commercial agreements
Have worked in an international business environment
Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Have experience in procurement, logistics, and/or sales
To succeed in this role, we believe you are analytical, business-oriented, and driven by creating results. You build trusting relationships naturally, are communicative, and enjoy collaborating with many different functions.
