We are now looking for a strategic procurement manager for our team within non-metallic components and chemicals, a broad and exciting procurement area that encompasses everything from processed and injection-molded plastic, packaging and composites to chemicals and other materials used in our products and processes. The role is based at Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga, where you will become part of a competent and committed procurement team. Your Role As a strategic procurement manager, you will have a central role in building and developing a broad network, both internally within Saab and externally with our suppliers. You will be an important part of ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness in our supplier base. In this role, you will, among other things: Take responsibility for your own supplier base and continuously develop it. Develop and implement supplier strategies. Negotiate, manage, and further develop supplier agreements. Support business units' projects and programs with commercial expertise. Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on efficiency and cost savings. Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate prices and terms. Ensure that Saab's procurement strategy, policies, and procedures are followed. Your Profile To succeed in this role, we believe you are a business-driven person who enjoys building relationships and creating collaborations, both within the organization and with external partners. You are communicative and confident in driving dialogues, while also having an analytical and structured side that helps you see the bigger picture and make well-founded decisions. We would like to see that you have experience in strategic procurement and a higher education degree in, for example, engineering or economics. Since the role involves many contacts both nationally and internationally, it is important that you have very good command of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. You are familiar with working in MS Office and have experience using business systems, such as IFS or SAP, as well as MPS and Business Intelligence systems. It is also a merit if you have worked with contract negotiations or have experience in procurement and development of industrial articles, such as processed or injection-molded plastic, packaging, or other non-metallic components.
